IAN FRASER
CEO
Ian Fraser is the Founder and Principal Partner for the Bertram Village Township project in Eleuthera, Bahamas. He is a native Bahamian born and raised in the capital of Bahamas, Nassau, on New Providence Island. Bertram is the first name of Ian’s grandfather, Bertram Fraser from North Eleuthera. Fraser is the surname, that was originally spelled with a ‘z’ from his great, great grandfather, James Frazer, who was part of a group of Bahamian soldiers that were awarded the land by the Queen of England, for their help in fighting the Pirates of the Caribbean over 200 years ago.
He was born one year before the Bahamas officially separated from the Crown, and he grew up watching his father passionately march with people who are now considered some of the country’s greatest leaders. His father was a respected businessman that ran one of the largest concrete block factories in Nassau. His concrete blocks were used to build many commercial and residential projects.
Ian moved to Oregon in 1995 and began a successful career in the heating and cooling industry. When the market crashed in 2008, the industry was sent spiraling downward. Ian decided to go into business for himself with the help of his fiancée Danielle Percy. They formed Fraser’s Professional Services, a commercial window washing and janitorial services company, which has been operating successfully in Bend, Oregon for the past twelve years.
Ian and Danielle are an integral part of the Bend, Oregon community where they have raised their children and now their grandchildren. Working with a variety of businesses has given them a unique inside view of various companies from formation to successful launch and operation. This business experience coupled with the knowledge from helping his father with the Bahamian block factory, has given them a foundation to build upon in the development of Bertram Village.
Ian says, “I am excited for the opportunity that Bertram Village gives us to give back to the Bahamian people. I recently inherited the concrete block factory from my father. All these things together make me truly feel like this is my time to do what I can for my people. I have some of the most beautiful land in the world, a block factory to build the buildings, and local connections to assist us in making sure that the project is a success. We’re just looking for people to bring their time, talent or treasure to help us forever change the path of an entire country.”
