HAROLD WHALEY
PROJECT COORDINATOR
Harold is a U.S. Navy Veteran and native Floridian, who served 11 years in the US Navy, and retired from the military to pursue music full-time. He released his first record on the Solar/Hines/Epic record label. He moonlighted at Death Row records, working with the production team of the Platinum CD “Murder was the Case”.
In 1999, he was awarded the San Diego Music Award as “Best Urban Artist. In a BET.com online poll, he was nominated as “Breakaway Artist of the Millennium in 2000.
With technology on the rise, Harold shifted his focus to helping drive innovation within the music industry.
In 2002, he produced the Television Show “Tee’d off”. He also became Program Director for the Urban Network Magazine’s new Online Radio Stations. In 2003, he introduced download cards and Flash drives to the entertainment industry at the Urban Network Summit, by giving away free Flash drives and Download cards to all major label execs and attendees.
2006 saw him transition to working with the Virtual World platform. Harold created or co-created various unique virtual platforms ranging from Convention Centers, Hospitals, and Churches to Night Clubs. He worked with Starz Home Entertainment, designing the first branded virtual movie theater, which previewed the film Jimmy and Judy. The stars of the film interacted virtually with the audience. He continued to build his portfolio, by creating a virtual music hall, for the legendary country music Cash Family (Johnny Cash Estate). He was minority owner of the now retired virtual world platform IN WORLDZ.
Harold was selected as the VP of Strategic Development for the American Basketball Association (ABA) in 2007-2020. He also started his own ABA franchise in 2012, The West Michigan Lake Hawks, based in Muskegon, Michigan and was featured in a game on ESPN 3 in January of 2015. In 2015, he expanded and added the Tulsa Twisters based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, which was a majority Native American team. The Tulsa Twisters are no longer in operation.
Harold navigates client relations of Hip Hop MotorSports and serves on the board of the Humanity Coalition.
